Shikuwasa contains plenty of citric acid and nobiletin. Especially the amount of nobiletin is far better than any other citrus. Studies have shown that polyphenols contained in shikuwasa, such as nobiletin, are effective in inhibiting the elevation of blood pressure and blood sugar levels and reducing neutral fat.

The harvest season
The harvest season of unripe shikuwasa (green rind shikuwasa) is from August to October, while its juice is available all year round. 100% shikuwasa juice can be used for making both desserts and drinks. For making drinks, mix the juice to water at a ratio of about 1:8-10. Add sugar or syrup to the drink according to your liking.
