Shikuwasa is a citrus fruit with a refreshing sour taste that has been eaten in Okinawa for many years. It is known for its rich nobiletin content compared to other citrus fruits and can be used in a variety of ways, such as on sashimi and grilled fish, in drinks, desserts and dressings. Shikuwasa Juice
Ingredients:
100% shikuwasa juice (appropriate amount)
Water (appropriate amount)
Syrup (optional)
Steps:
The easiest way to drink shikuwasa juice is to simply dilute 100% shikwasa juice with 5 to 8 times the amount of water. You can add syrup if desired.
Shikuwasa Soda
Ingredients:
50ml 100% shikuwasa juice
150ml soda water (sweetened)
Steps:
Pour shikuwasa juice in a glass, add soda water, then stir. Sweetened soda water can be replaced with unsweetened one.
Ginger Shikuwasa Soda
Ingredients:
10g grated ginger
50ml 100% shikuwasa juice
150ml sparkling water (sweetened)
Steps:
Add grated ginger and shikuwasa juice in a glass, then add sweetened sparkling water. You can substitute the sweetened sparkling water for unsweetened sparkling water.
Shikuwasa Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 frozen banana
150ml milk
20ml 100% shikuwasa juice
Steps:
1. Cut a banana into small pieces and freeze.
2. Add all the ingredients into a blender and blend.
Honey Shikuwasa
Ingredients:
10ml honey
150ml water
40ml 100% shikuwasa juice
Ice (appropriate mount)
Steps:
1. Add shikuwasa juice and honey into a glass and mix.
2. Add ice cubes to the glass, then add water and mix.
Shikuwasa Highball
Ingredients:
30ml 100% shikuwasa juice
35ml whisky
150ml sparkling water
Steps:
1. Pour shikuwasa juice into a glass.
2. Add whisky and sparkling water.
Shikuwasa Beer
Ingredients:
30ml 100% shikuwasa juice
500ml beer
Steps:
